Strengthening One Health through Medical–Veterinary Collaboration

The upcoming One Health International Conference (OHIC) will mark a significant milestone in advancing interdisciplinary collaboration, as the conference will be jointly organized by the medical community and the Veterinary Medical Association of Thailand (TVMA).

This joint initiative reflects a shared commitment to the One Health approach, recognizing that human, animal, and environmental health are deeply interconnected and must be addressed collectively. Veterinarians play a pivotal role in One Health, particularly in areas such as zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, food safety, animal production systems, and ecosystem health. Your expertise is essential not only for advancing scientific knowledge but also for shaping practical solutions and policies that protect public health at local, regional, and global levels.

OHIC provides a unique platform for:

  • Exchanging up-to-date scientific evidence across medical, veterinary, and environmental disciplines
  • Showcasing veterinary research and field experience within a broader One Health framework
  • Building collaborative networks with physicians, public health professionals, researchers, and policy makers
  • Contributing to policy dialogue and implementation strategies grounded in science

We warmly invite members of the veterinary profession, academics, practitioners, researchers, and students to actively participate in this conference by submitting abstracts, presenting orally or as posters, participating in panel discussions, and engaging in professional networking. Your participation will not only strengthen the veterinary voice within the One Health community but also help ensure that integrated, cross-sectoral perspectives inform future health strategies.

We look forward to welcoming you to OHIC and working together toward a healthier, more resilient future for people, animals, and our shared environment.
